If Suzuru could name her favorite place in the entire school ground, it would probably be the library. Always so quiet and peaceful, truly a remarkable place to relax and unwind. The purple haired teen wouldn't call herself an avid reader, nor an advanced one, but she could claim to be moderate. It was a nice pastime as long as the story as captivating enough. But the books weren't what really drew her to the place. The mere fact everyone stayed out of everyone else's way on top of the fact it was quiet made the library almost her perfect haven.
At this moment in time, Suzuru was headed for the very place in question. One because she had a book due today anyways, and two just to lounge around while she had free time. Walking through the double doors, the purple haired teen made her way to the desk and dropped her book off at the counter. "I... guess I'll look around the fiction section and go from there..." Navigating her way to the bookshelves, then through the labels on each one, Suzuru paused at the first shelf of fiction.
"Seems like science fiction," she mused, browsing the spines and slowly walking down the aisle. It wasn't really her taste, and even as she read some of the summaries, the genre just didn't intrigue her. Fantasy would probably be her best bet...if she knew where it was. It was a few minutes later that she found the majority of her favored books, aisle-browsing going by much faster when just looking for a specific genre.
Taking the first book she saw off the shelf, Suzuru smiled as she read the back of the book. She was already enthralled with the plot. Tucking it underneath her arm, she decided it would probably be best to read a chapter or two before taking it out. Never knew if summaries could be deceiving or not. Honestly the purple haired girl doubted it, but she did want to get reading right away...
At the top shelf, however, a book with big golden letters instantly caught her eye.
"WIZARD OF OZ".
Of course she'd already read it, but Suzuru couldn't deny what an entertaining story it was. "Maybe I'll just take that out too," she thought as she rose to her tip toes, one arm supporting her original book, the other extended to the Wizard of Oz. The tip of her finger could just brush the top of the book's spine, and Suzuru strained herself to at least tip the book onto its spine and pluck it off the shelf. Unfortunately all she accomplished was getting it to stick out a little less then an inch. "It's really wedged in there..."
Dropping her other book on the ground next to her, the girl again stretched towards the top shelf, grasping - although pinching might have been a better description with the limited surface - the book with both hands and tugging. At first, it only inched out slowly. But after a few moments, it came right out, much faster than Suzuru had expected.
And it brought about half the other books with it.
Instinctively flinching and putting the Wizard of Oz book above her head as a shield of sorts, the purple haired girl shut her eyes tight and waited for the rain of books to stop. Remaining still even as silence fell, Suzuru slowly peeked at the ground around her. Both shot open as she realized the mess she'd made, and exactly what this all meant. "Not only did I mess up the books' order..." A wary glance around, despite books obscuring her view on two sides, "But now someone's bound to come... I hate this kind of attention."
"This is bad..." Time to start putting the books back, she supposed.
